Sumthing FAQ



1. What can I count in Sumthing?
Anything you want: habits, chores, workouts, meals, tasks, wins, routines, sightings, and more.

2. How do I add a new counter?
Open the app, tap the add card, enter a name, and optionally add an emoji, description, category, and color.

3. How does quick count work?
On the Home screen, you can quickly increase a counter directly from its card without opening the full detail view.
You can also use widgets for even faster counting from your Home Screen.

4. Can I decrease a count?
Yes. In the detail view, you can use the minus button. Counts do not go below zero.

5. What statistics does the app show?
Sumthing shows detailed daily statistics as well as weekly, monthly, and yearly progress. You can also see highlights for your most active counters and categories.

6. Can I reorder counters?
Yes. Touch and hold a counter card, then move it to where you want it.

Does Sumthing have widgets?
Yes. You can add Sumthing widgets to your Home Screen for quick access to your counters and faster counting.

Does Sumthing work offline?
Yes. The app is designed to work offline using local storage on your device.

How does iCloud work?
If you are signed in to the same Apple ID and iCloud is enabled for the app, your data can sync and be restored across devices.

If iCloud is unavailable, your data stays on the current device.

Can I export my data?
Yes. You can export your SumThing data as a JSON file and save it as a backup.

You can use the exported file to restore your data later.

Do I need to create an account?
No. SumThing does not require account creation.

Can I set reminders?
Yes. You can enable an optional daily reminder and choose the time that works best for you.

How can I share SumThing with someone?
You can use the Share App option inside Sumthing to quickly share the app with friends or anyone who might find it useful.
